The House Of Lacroix Is Closing It's Doors...

I am absolutely heartbroken over the fact that one of the most glorious Houses of High Fashion did not survive global economical crisis. The voluntary petition, similar to Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the United States, was filed with the commercial court in Paris The loss of Christian Lacroix to Paris Haute Couture is immeasurable. I suppose, money and true creative genius are two separate concepts that are rarely combined. According to "New York Times", despite years of critical success, the company failed to break even, not to mention to bring profit over the past two decades.
Nevertheless, I prefer to be grateful for the fact that I was able to share a lifetime of beauty with one of the most legendary Houses of the World of Haute Couture and I will hope that one day it will be back...
It will be back to dazzle us with lavish, Marie Antoinette worthy, luxury of divine fabrics, unforgettable designs and spectacular fashion shows.
It will be back to mesmerize us with divine head pieces ever created, made of Valencian, French and Italian handmade lace, beautifully combined with jewels and florals...
It will be back to charm us with signature Lacroix bows, decorated with spectacular Lacroix brooches - an ultimate luxury.
The fashion sketches by Lacroix are known as Art inside the Art. His striking watercolors and pastels by itself are nothing short of small masterpieces.
"New York Times" writes that according to people with knowledge of the situation, Lacroix was badly hit in the United States, where it has opened two stores in New York and Las Vegas and where buyers have recently reduced or canceled orders.

I believe that over two decades of spectacular creations will be forever written in the History Of Haute Coture.

Mr. Lacroix, who received the Chevalier de la Legion d'Honneur in 2002, for services to fashion, has other strings to his bow, apart from his colorful and sophisticated collections. He was creative director for Emilio Pucci, the Italian fashion house, from 2002 to 2005, while he was still within the LVMH group. I will look forward to seeing more great things from Mr.Lacroix. I will look forward to a great comeback of The House Of Lacroix.
