It's a new year which brings with it fresh new fashion trends. We'll soon be leaving the cold behind so here's some of the upcoming fashion trends for spring summer 2010.

Army Jackets

Replace your leather jacket with the army look. Army jackets aren't a new style but this year the trend is a unique twist to an everyday look. Army jackets are glammed up with feminine additions such as chiffon and sequins. Wear oversized jackets with a cinched waist belt to make it more feminine and sexy.

Underwear as Outerwear

This is an adventurous trend and won't be for everyone. Bra tops, bustiers, pants and see through and sheer fabric tops form this underwear as outwear trend. You want to keep it tasteful rather than trashy. Neutral and pastel colours are recommended for a romantic tone.

Dungarees

Dungarees are set to be a hit this spring but certainly not with everyone. Dungarees tend to have 2 camps 'love them' or 'hate them'. Nonetheless they will be everywhere and if you like this trend they are best worn with a cute blouse or camisole.

Distressed Metallics

TThe distressed metallic look was big on the catwalks and will certainly make its way onto the high street. Look out for gold, pewter and silver colours to steal this catwalk trend.

Glitz and Glamour

The key trend for party dresses is a chic elegant look with glitter and crystals. Teaming this look with lashings of accessories is encouraged.
