It's not true that leather fashion ended during the 70s or the 80s. In fact, it's as much alive right now as any other kind of fashion is. With the reputation that media, specifically films, have given leather apparel, men and women have a positive outlook on it even today. Women believe that men who wear leather are more attractive and even sexy and men who wear these apparel pieces feel more confident. Although you don't have to wear a whole leather wardrobe, leather jackets for men can do the trick.
Having a leather jacket while wearing jeans, button down shirts or whatnot can make a man look more suave and powerful. Leather truly has that effect. Also, if you review, this type of material was worn by soldiers and pilots back in the war. Because of this, its reputation has gained much prestige over the years. Since these honorable men possessed these pieces of clothing, owning them has a bit of an added bonus. Men don't really care for style.
