 If it weren't for superstardom, Britney Spears' life might have turned much differently. In a new email interview with Out magazine, she explains that when she was younger, she saw less dancing in her future and more paperwork.

"I was in seventh grade and it was career day and I remember thinking that I wanted to be an entertainment lawyer," she wrote. "I always knew I would be in this business somehow. I think this path worked out way better."

Brit opens up about a wide range of other topics in the interview, including her opinions of Lady Gaga ("Unique"), Christina Aguilera ("Truly talented"), and the worst advice she ever heard from a record executive: "Someone once told me that the '…Baby One More Time' video should be me as a superhero fighting a giant robot monster."

And for those curious, Britney even reveals the best mom advice ever.

"My mom said when you have a bad day, eat ice cream. That’s the best advice."

Britney Spears on V Magazine

Though the pop star's seventh studio album, "Femme Fatale," won't be released until March 29, she wants to make one thing clear right now.

"The b---h is back and better than ever!" Spears exclaimed in an interview for V magazine's spring issue, which hit newsstands Thursday.

"I think it's the best album I have ever made. There's nothing to say," she said. "I'll let the music speak for me."

Thankfully, Spears did speak some more, touching on everything from her life in and out of the spotlight to what music currently fills up her iPod.

"I love the Black Eyed Peas," she said. "They always put me in a good mood. I listen to them a lot."

Spears, who also expressed her love of "Woo Hoo" by one-time competitor Christina Aguilera, said the personal problems that plagued her life for years ultimately made her stronger.

"I have learned to always stay true to myself and never let what other people say about me change who I am," she told V. "It's a really important lesson that took me a long time to learn."

Now she's "past" the media's fixation on her every move.

"I try to block it all out and not pay attention to anything they write about me in the magazines or online," Spears said. "I'm done with that."

The singer, who once shared her life with millions of TV viewers thanks to a short-lived reality show with her then-husband, Kevin Federline, acknowledged that she's become "a little bit" guarded.

"I think it's easier to let people in when you're younger, but when I became a mother I wanted more privacy for myself and my children," she said, referring to her sons, 5-year-old Sean and 4-year-old Jayden.

It's "a life away from my life," Spears added.

In fact, the "Hold It Against Me" songstress said she'd just focus on her family 24/7 if she ever decided to give up show businesses.

"I'd be a full-time mom, which would be cool," she said. "I'd miss my fans and all of the love the most, but I definitely would not miss having my picture taken everywhere I go."

But, as of now, Spears' plan is keep balancing her public and private lives in hopes that her legacy is "two amazing boys and a lot of music that hopefully brings a lot of people a lot of happiness."

The entertainer, who said she believes "there is a little magic in the world" but also that "we choose our own path," acknowledged that she was destined to become a star.

"If not, then God definitely has a strange sense of humor," she said.

“Seal It With a Kiss” has been making its rounds on the internet and has Spears enthusiasts more eager than ever for her new opus to drop.

Last month, Britney debuted her killer new music video for “Hold It Against Me” to rave reviews.
