Carrie Underwood Big Winner at American Country Awards
Carrie Underwood was Country's top talent at the American Country Awards! The fan-determined awards show made Underwood the spotlight of the evening Monday night with six wins.
Lady Antebellum was the next closest to the former "American Idol" champion with four wins. They were followed by Easton Corbin, who scored three wins. Underwood scored big with wins in the Aritst of the Year, Album of the Year, and Tour of the Year categories.
"We have had the most amazing year out on the road but we wouldn't be doing anything if there weren't people out there sitting in that audience," Underwood said from MGM Grand stage. "So to everybody that came out to see us [or] anybody else out here, you guys are awesome for supporting us like you do. God bless the fans."
The past year really has been a rewarding one for the country music star as April's Academy of Country Music Awards event heralded another Artist of the Year win. While Taylor Swift may be tearing up the charts with her "Speak Now" album, which scored more than 1 million sales in its first week, Underwood continues to the be the driving force in female country.
