A Little Help, Please. :-)
Coco Chanel once said: " God knows I wanted love...but the moment I had to choose between the man I loved and the dresses, I chose the dresses." It has been a long time dream of mine to add to my wardrobe one of the unique vintage pieces by no other than Christian Dior himself. I am very rarely seduced by vintage clothing , but not when it comes to Dior.
I could only imagine how immensely beautiful it would feel to be able to own and wear extraordinary vintage treasure from the House of Dior. The idea of Dior working on the creation of this piece...oh, I just could let my imagination wonder endlessly!
And so, when I saw this magnificent vintage beaded coat by Dior, I knew that this is exactly what I have envisioned. I have to thank famous couture clothing collector and dealer Mr. Madrigal for taking such a wonderful care of this coat. It arrived last Friday and since then I completely lost my sleep. :-) The coat is beyond anything I could ever imagine in my dreams. Exquisite beading with not a single bead out of place, made in beautiful black silk with silk organdy cuffs and hem. It has been made several decades ago and yet it looks untouched by time...
I would like to ask you, my darling fashionistas, for your input on how would you wear this beautiful coat? What kind of shoes would you wear with it? What would you choose to wear underneath? Makeup, hair? :-))) Your opinion is of a great interest to me.
The coat is what I would call a very strong statement piece, it has so much character to it and I would love to be able to figure out the way to wear it without it being lost among unnecessary details like the wrong bag or shoes. I thank you for all your help in advance and promise to respond to every suggestion. :-)
